They can be arthritic disorders due to degeneration of the involved structure or inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, etc.
Spondyloarthrosis is the name given to the arthrosis of the joints of the spine. It can affect the entire spine, or only in some sections such as lumbar arthritis if the lumbar tract is struck, or cervical arthritis if the cervical tract is affected. Arthrosis of the dorsal or sacral tract is less frequent. Spondyloarthrosis favors advanced adulthood, and especially affects those most exposed to heavy work, but there are other contributory factors.
Osteoarthritis or arthritis, is a degenerative disease that affects all the joints. It is one of the most common causes of painful disorders, affecting about 10% of the general adult population, and 50% of people over 60 years of age. The soft parts, such as cartilage, but also the bones are involved, with the formation of osteophytes and osteosclerosis in the loading areas. The most subjected to wear are most affected, especially at the weight of the body, such as the lumbar vertebrae or the knees.
