Dr Shikha Singh Thakur (PT), is a Post graduate in Orthopedics & Sports Physiotherapy from M S Ramaiah Medical College & Hospital, Bengaluru, KA, India.

She has trained Internationally for the Management of Spine (Back/Neck/Nerve/Disc related) pain & had been exclusively practicing as Spine physiotherapist in Mumbai for last 4+ years where she could manage the Spine related aches/pain successfully without the help of any physiotherapy modalities,& she successfully able to manage many elite industrialist and businessman &  celebrities. She was kept upgrading herself in the field of advance physiotherapy & to do so she was then gone to Singapore & gained experience at Department of Orthopaedics Rehabilitation, National University Hospital, Singapore.

She had trained specially with the National athletes at Sports Authority of India, New Delhi, where she was exposed to the Physiotherapy management of various injuries in the sports like; Gymnastics, Running, Archery, Wrestling, Boxing, Cycling etc. & putting them back to sport’s.

She is also an Internationally certified instructor for the Ante Natal & Post Natal Fitness (physiotherapy) from the USA, & hence she conducts workshops for the practicing physiotherapist & visits National conferences as speaker about women’s health.

  • Worked as volunteer at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium New Delhi for the National athletes practicing for the Asian Games 2018 in the month of August. I was with Sports Physiotherapist at SAI and treated Gymnasts; Aruna Reddy, Pranati Das, Pranati Nayak & Mandira Chawdhary. I also got the Opportunity to treat other sports players from different sports like Wrestling, Cycling who were visiting the physiotherapy department for the rehabilitation.

“Effect of Computer Use on Scapulothoracic Muscle Strength”, measurement of the Scapulothoracic Muscle Strength in Computer Users who use computer for prolonged duration everyday with the help of hydraulic push – pull dynamometer and compare the strength with non – computer users. The above work is currently under peer-review for publication in Indian Journal of Pain
